Colonel Gaddafi's daughter vows her father will not step down
Muammar Gaddafi's daughter said the West's demand that her father leave power was a "provocation" to all Libyans in a defiant appearance before a crowd of chanting supporters in Tripoli.
The event, broadcast live on state television, marked the 25th anniversary of American strikes on the Bab al-Azizyah complex, which includes military barracks.
Then US President, Ronald Reagan, said the 1986 attack was in retaliation for what he called Libyan complicity in the bombing of a Berlin nightclub.
Aisha Gaddafi told the crowd in Tripoli: "The suggestion of Gaddafi stepping down is a provocation to all Libyans, Gaddafi is not in Libya but in the hearts of Libyans."
